1. All heifer exhibitors must be 21 and under as of January 1, 2019. All steer, hog, sheep and goat exhibitors must be ages 19 and under as of January 1, 2019.

2. Entry fees for Show:
- Lambs and Goats - $35 per entry
- Hogs - $35 per entry
- Showmanship - $10 per entry
- Late entries will be assessed an additional $15 per head late charge
- NO REFUNDS.
- A $25 fee will be assessed per animal for not cleaning pens
- RV Camping Spot $35 per night for full hook up

Show rules
GOAT SHOW RULES
1. The goat show will have two divisions: Progress and Market. Classes will be broken and posted the day of the show following official weigh-in.
2. Animals must be entered in show to be eligible for Showmanship.
3. Each exhibitor MUST show his/her own animal. See rule #8 above in Show Rules.
4. FITTING IS OPTIONAL FOR SHOWMANSHIP!
WETHER DAM GOAT SHOW RULES
1. Wether dams will be evaluated as breeding animals.
2. Wether dams must have milk teeth or yearling teeth.
3. Wether dams must have ear tag or permanent legible tattoo prior to weigh in.
4. Structural correctness disqualifications are at the discretion of the judge.
5. All exhibitors must show their own animal. See rule #8 above in Show Rules.
6. Animals must be entered in show to be eligible for Showmanship.

SHEEP SHOW RULES

SHOWMANSHIP RULES
Showmanship (age as of January 1, 2019) for Sheep, Goats and Hogs:
Junior Division (12 & under)
Intermediate Division (13-15)
Senior Division (16-19)
1. Animals must be entered in the show to be eligible for Showmanship.
2. All exhibitors must show their own animal. See rule #8 above in Show Rules.
3. If choosing to scratch from showmanship notify office at least ½ hour before the start of the showmanship class.
4. No roll downs in showmanship. Arrive on time to designated class.
5. FITTING IS OPTIONAL FOR SHOWMANSHIP!
- Pens are available, however exhibitors must bring their own shavings, no straw and will be responsible for removing all bedding from their pen(s), dumping in a designated area. If pens are not cleaned, a cleanup fee of $25 per animal will be deducted from premium pay outs.
- If you prefer to show out of your trailer, please park in an area in designated areas that does not block the access roads and paths to the show arenas. This could result in a safety issue and towing of your vehicle. Please remove all trash from bedding and place no trash in bedding dump site.
- RV CAMPSITE RENTAL: Please call San Benito County Fairgrounds and arrange to rent or reserve a spot with payment made to San Benito County Fairgrounds.
- Entries must be postmarked by July 18, 2019. Late entries will be accepted, provided space permits. Late entries will be charged an additional fee of $15 per head.
- There will be NO REFUNDS.
- ALL animals must be in place before weigh in times. Official Sheep and Goat weigh-in will take place Saturday morning, August 3 between 6 and 7:30 AM. Hogs will weigh in between 6 AM and 7:30 AM on Sunday August 4. NO LATE WEIGH INS!
- San Benito Classic management reserve the right to change anything to improve the show.
- Exhibitors must show their own animal. The only exception to this rule is if the exhibitor has two animals in a class or champion drive simultaneously. Any exception to this rule must be approved prior to the show by show management.
- Safety is a number one concern, any animal exhibiting signs of infectious or unsightly conditions or deemed a safety hazard will be disqualified and be removed from fairgrounds with no refund.
- Ethical conduct of all exhibitors and ethical treatment of all animals is expected at all times while on the San Benito County Fairgrounds.
- Please bring a generator, power supplies are limited at San Benito County Fairgrounds.
- Please leave your dogs at home or in your trailer and do not bring them to the arena.
- OUT OF STATE EXHIBITORS MUST have appropriate health inspections and brand inspections!
- Payouts will depend upon the success of the show. All expenses of the San Benito Classic must be paid prior to payouts being disbursed. San Benito Classic has no outside funds and depends upon entry fees and sponsorships. Thank you!
- All CJLA rules apply.
